Holiday Gift Ideas for the Fitness Minded
Fitness gifts can be tricky. Give somebody a gym membership and you may be accused of insinuating they need to lose weight. Still, some people would love a chance to get fitness equipment as a present, especially those who are already fitness buffs or those who have openly voiced their goal of starting a regular fitness program as part of their New Year's Resolutions. If you find yourself in the position of having to buy fitness presents for a loved one, here are some ideas to fit any budget:
Fitness Magazine Subscription
Need to send a present to somebody far away? Magazine subscriptions can provide the inspiration to get started. They're not only easy on your wallet, but they provide ongoing entertainment and inspiration for a whole year. If you know the taste of the receiver, choose something specific, such as Runner's World or Natural Health. Otherwise, stick to general titles like Self or Men's Health, which cover a variety of topics and are geared to every fitness and health level.
They can be given alone or combined with exercise equipment for a full experience. If you don't know the recipient's taste, stick to general cardio and resistance videos, rather than specific titles (such as yoga or Pilates). DVDs that cater to the age or condition of the person such as prenatal or senior workouts, are also a great choice.
For those who plan on working out at home, exercise equipment will go a long way. From low-cost dumbbells and exercise balls to treadmills and body fat analyzers, there is truly something here for every budget. Shops are now selling complete kits or sets, sometimes packed into attractive, easy-to-carry cases that can help anybody get started. This can easily be combined with a fitness video or a single gym pass, so the receiver can learn how to properly use the equipment without feeling intimidated.
This is probably too expensive of a gift to give to just anybody, but it could be a great way to help a close friend or loved one jumpstart their fitness or weight loss journey. If a yearly membership is out of your budget, see if you can arrange for a trial membership or a short-run one. For example, many gyms are now selling gift certificates, which you can buy in the right amount to cover a 3 or 6-month membership. Or you can get a series of single passes to different gyms, so they can try them out and eventually choose whatever they like best.Great Graduation Cake Ideas | Gag Gifts | Baby Shower Gift | Golf Tournament Gifts | Holiday Gift Ideas | Fathers Day Ideas | Fun Anniversary Gifts | Mothers Day Gifts | Unique Mom Gift Idea | Great Wine Gifts | Birthday Ideas | Teacher Gifts | Perfect Gift For Mom | Christmas Gifts | Anniversary Gift Ideas | Tattoo Ideas | Restaurant Gift Certificates | Gift Boxes | Wedding Ideas | Fundraising Ideas | Newborn Gift | Newborn Baby Idea | New Infant Gifts | Valentine Gifts | Party Game Ideas | Gifts From Children To Teachers | Unique Baby Gifts | Romantic Gifts | Baby Shower Gifts | Graduation Gifts | Gifts For Mom | Birthday Gift | Science Project Ideas | Project Ideas | Baby Shower Ideas | Birthday Gift Idea | Family Gift Idea | Holiday Gift Idea | School Party Ideas | Romantic Gift Ideas | Newborn Gift Idea | Funny Prank Ideas | Prom Hair Ideas | High School Graduation Gifts | Christmas Gift Idea | Gift Ideas
